Procedures
1. In each group, you should decide together who will be in charge of which sections. The sections are News, Arts and Entertainment, Business, Sports, and Advertisements. You will need five realistic articles for each section, and eight realistic advertisements.
2. Each member should look at the websites listed in Resources to get ideas for their sections.
3. The group should create a name for the newspaper, and start discussing article ideas.
4. Research and start writing articles, meeting as a group every so often to keep each other updated. Make sure to keep a list of sources used.
5. Complete the articles. Make sure you include headlines, datelines, and by-lines.
6. Decide which articles to include graphics with, find suitable graphics, and create captions to go with them.
7. Proofread articles, and peer edit in your group.
8. As a group, prepare the layout of the newspaper with the articles, graphics, and captions.
9. Make any final changes.
10. Submit the final paper and list of sources used.
