For Teachers
Background
This WebQuest was designed for students in 6th or 7th grade. This is meant to be done with cooperating teachers in English and Social Studies. It comes after the completion of a unit in Social Studies on Ancient Greece and a unit in English on newspapers and journalistic writing.

Social Studies

Display historical perspective by describing the past through the eyes and experiences of those who were there, as related through their memories, literature, diaries, letters, debates, arts, maps, and artifacts.
Objectives
To have students:
Read about ancient Greece and gather information for articles/ads
Write articles/ads as if they were experiencing the events using the information gathered
Produce a professional looking newspaper
